There are some common symptoms that let you diagnose if the chicken is suffering from this disease or not. Common symptoms include loss of appetite, dehydration, diarrhea, droopiness, blood or mucus in the feces, pale combs, and wattles.
Corid is a drug called Amprolium that is approved by the Food and Drug Administration. It is used widely to treat poultry in backyard settings. Even if a single chicken shows symptoms or has been diagnosed with this disease, the entire flock should be treated with Corid.
There are a lot of medications and drugs available to treat coccidiosis, Corid being the most commonly used. Corid dosages are given to the chicken for the prevention of this disease and effective treatment. Following two corid dosages are used in the treatment of cocci.

One way of treating chickens diagnosed with Coccidiosis is by giving them a corid dosage for five consecutive days. It should not be given as it is, rather first mixed in water and given to the chicken in a certain amount. The recommended daily dosage is 10 mg per kg ( weight of the chicken).
